A leading company in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Piping Design Lead for their clean energy division projects. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the piping design of their industrial projects, working with technology licensors and the EPC. The piping design lead ensures technical accuracy and cost-efficient designs throughout all project phases, from conceptualization to construction.Responsibilities :Provide administrative, technical support, and knowledge for piping design.Supervise and guide internal or external project designers.Develop cost-effective design solutions.Create estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, workforce forecasts, and progress reports.Establish and monitor key material quantities; provide analysis and forecasts.Develop and review specifications and design criteria.Participate in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.Analyze and independently recommend solutions to complex problems aligned with project objectives.Serve as Piping Design Lead on assigned projects or perform complex design tasks.Collaborate professionally with various stakeholders.Maintain dependable attendance and high performance.Prioritize personal safety, and the safety of company assets, employees, and the public.Handle additional daily, weekly, monthly, or special projects as assigned.Qualifications :Education : Associate's degree in pipeline drafting and design or related discipline, or 20 years of relevant work experience.Experience/Specific Knowledge :Managing piping design for large industrial facilities.Successfully managing third-party resources for design optimization.Preferred experience includes work in Ammonia and Syngas plants and facilitiesExperience with large EPC firms or facility operators in large process industrial facilities.Effective communication with management, coworkers, EPC firms, vendors, engineering centers, module yards, and construction contractors.Knowledge of material availability and cost.Understanding of US construction practices and design optimization.Practical field experience at job sites and module yards.Advanced proficiency in Smart Plant 3D and AutoCAD Plant 3D.Leading small groups and multinational engineering teams.Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Valid Driver's LicenseBenefits:Industry competitive payHealth insurance package options that include Flexible Spending & Health Savings AccountsParental Leave401(k) with up to a 6% match that vests immediately plus an employer discretionary contribution of up to 4%Wellness Programs and Mental Health ResourcesEmployer-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverageVacation, sick days, paid caregiver leave, volunteer and bereavement paid time offAnnual discretionary bonusGenerous Tuition Reimbursement ProgramCompany-paid holidays and floating holidaysCompany vehicle (if applicable)Personal development to grow your career with company based on your strengths and interestsIf interested, don't hesitate to apply!
