Job Summary:The Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club – franchises of Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) – are looking for a Motion Designer to join our amazing creative services team. This position will primarily focus on creating motion design for all touch points of the brands under SEG, ie: Utah Hockey Club and Utah Jazz. These touch points include game presentation, broadcast, social, and more. This person will be collaborating with a team of motion designers ranging from junior to senior levels across 2D and 3D programs. In this role, you will have to have a good eye, take direction, and be open to notes and feedback. You’ll be able to combine your passion for sports with motion design. You should be able to see a project from concept to completion and bring new ideas to the creative voice of the team. You’ll be able to work collaboratively and invite collaboration amongst your team in working closely with other departments and entities. You’ll be an effective communicator both up and down the organization chart in explaining motion design choices. Duties and Responsibilities:Concept & execute motion elements for use across the different brandsEstablish brand motion language and effectively implement it across departmentsManage projects from start to finishEngage with the full marketing team to share research & new ideasIdentify gaps in current assets, and suggest alternatives effectivelyKeep up to date on current trends & relevant technical innovationsBe a student.
