the CECOM C51SR Commanding General, Deputy to the Commanding General, and other CECOM senior leaders for speaking and key leader engagements, scripting projects, public relations messages, political messaging, executive presentations, professional journal articles, and messaging the workforce.The Sr. Communications Specialists shall be fluent and/or current on the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of the Army (DA), and CECOM topics; able to weave various elements of a presentation together in a comprehensive and logical manner, able to describe complex material and information in detail and able to write in a conversational tone. The Sr. Communications Specialists shall be proficient in Associated Press (AP) Style Guide, and capable of producing work in a “storytelling” tone.Develops and writes speeches, engagement read ahead briefings, and other communications.Translates the ideas, objectives, corporate position, and management philosophy into messaging that relates to the topic, speaker, and intended audience.Compose and/or review editorials, press releases, or articles representing CECOM management.Assists CECOM executives with speech delivery preparations.Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.Works both independently and collaboratively in nature.The Proof Project ManagerManages editorial and production processes for APG’s installation magazine, The Proof.Is responsible for managing editorial team processes and for setting and following up on deadlines. Oversees final copy-editing of articles. Reorganizes text, graphics, and general layouts to meet format requirements.Coordinates publication activities with the printers, contractors, vendors, management, staff, and program personnel. Determines and justifies program requirements (i.e., equipment, budgetary, administrative) and takes action to ensure these are met.Proofs final copy to ensure the end product is acceptable prior to print.Conducts outreach and marketing. This includes but is not limited to engagement with current and potential installation contributors on APG. This also includes collaboration and marketing efforts with the social media manager across major social media platforms for the purpose of The Proof promotion.Community Relations SpecialistResearches, plans, and executes the community relations events and activities for the organization. Develops a concept of the event, de-conflicts calendars, organizes internal process reviews (IPRs), tracks taskers, coordinates logistical support such as vehicle displays, volunteers, security, translation, transportation, parking, catering, audio visual and photography support, and publishes an after-action review.Develops checklists and Standard Operating Procedures and standardize requirements for recurring community relations events held in conjunction with various holiday events and other events.Prepares media products to support the Community Relations team’s initiatives and to publicize/recap community relations events and activities.Prepares memorandums, letters of invitation, and other correspondence relative to the planning or promotion of community engagements.Communications/Executive Services SpecialistIdentify the need for executive communications, determine the appropriate form and messaging for such efforts, and develop specific briefings, speeches, talking points, and other communications products.Develops speeches and other communications products in final forms, assuring consistency with the speaker’s personally preferred formats.Writes and develops executive-level communication products such as ghost notes, community updates, emergency messaging, and products in support of leadership engagements.Experience & QualificationsBachelor's degree, 6+ years exp. (English, Communications, Journalism;

liberal studies degree with a concentration in writing or marketing);
