The Director of Athletics Communications will oversee all athletics communications including but not limited to; media relations, public relations and internal/external communications. This will include content dissemination and strategic development across all platforms; social media, digital, print, external news platforms and CSSSaints.com. They will oversee day-to-day operations of the athletics communications department, including student-employees, announcers, scorekeepers and statisticians during athletic competitionsKey Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Create and disseminate all press releasesCreate and update all game programsResponsible for visualizing ideas and establish marketing, social media and production schedules to deliver successful, engaging content across multiple social media platformsFill out Season Preview Forms according to MIAC and other third-party organizationsOversee the creation and dissemination of hometown email listsProvide other college departments with athletic images and information when neededResponsible for determining and publishing weekly Performers of the WeekCreate and annually update online record booksGather current and historical information for every teamServe as primary media contact for athletic departmentSupervise Work-Study Workers, statistical staff, photographers, announcers and other athletics communications staff on game daysResponsible for assigning Public address at all home contestsResponsible for assigning and managing all table or press box workers for all home eventsCreate, keep & archive department photographic and statistical record filing systemsTake individual headshots of every athlete annuallyOrganize team photos of every team annuallyVideo RecordsCreates and coordinates live web streaming of College athletics eventsManages vendor or creates video portal to broadcast live contestsArchive broadcastsCreates graphical elements to enhance web castsSpecial Events CoordinatorChair of Athletics Hall of Fame and Saints Sports Awards CeremoniesCoordinate annual Hall of Fame Induction ceremonyProvide support for individual team needsWork with CSS MarComm to create publications include producing the various fundraising and marketing materialsAs part of the senior leadership team, develop strategies that raise brand awareness, increase fan and alumni engagementOther duties as assigned by the Director of AthleticsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of related experience; OR, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous experience in sports communications, journalism, marketing or similar. Familiarity with appropriate software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Word, Excel, etc.), StatCrew software, SIDEARM, Final Cut Pro or equivalent video editing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with graphic design and all social media platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Creative and proficient with technology. Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to meet tight deadlines and delegate responsibilities.Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional critical listening and thinking skills. Previous experience with digital video streaming. Video editing and/or motion graphics software. Ability to respond to unanticipated situations and shift priorities at a moment’s notice.
