Director, Global Marketing Strategy, Disney-Pixar

The Global Marketing team at Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing is responsible for driving franchise relevancy, generating consumer demand and delivering marketing programs for amplification around the world. As the Marketing Strategy lead on Disney Pixar & X-franchise programs, you will drive the development of marketing strategies to generate long term growth for the Disney portfolio, capitalize on audience whitespace opportunities, and build go-to-market plans that maximize revenue, and optimize licensee and retailer participation.

A natural collaborator, you will partner closely across the global CPGP business and beyond to ensure strategies are fully aligned commercially and optimized regionally. Key partners include the Marketing Creative & Campaign team, Global Brand Commercialization, Creative, Product Development, Communications, Corporate Brand Management and Disney Studios. Building relationships with global licensees and retailers is critical with a focus on joint strategic planning to help unlock incremental marketing support to drive the CP business. VP-CPGP Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management.

Responsibilities:Drive development of Disney Pixar and cross-franchise Consumer Products marketing strategies to build our brands, drive franchise relevancy and support audience & category growthWork collaboratively with the Regional CP Marketing leads to garner input and secure buy in around key strategiesProvide insight-led briefs tied to Playbook pillars to the Marketing Creative & Campaign teamPartner across the globe to develop holistic seasonal marketing strategies tied to consumer and business insightsIdentify new seasonal or occasion-led opportunities to drive our business and connect with key audiences in meaningful ways at a global level, and drive briefing process for Marketing CreativeWork with global third-party partners to craft integrated marketing plans as part of larger franchise and category initiativesIdentify and champion new ways of working with our key licensee partners in the marketing space to maximize joint valueIdentify third party partners to help scale our marketing programs, connect with new audiences and drive franchise relevancyIdentify white space marketing and consumer opportunities, shape product and experience development and demonstrate subject matter expertise around guest demographics, specific markets, guest segments and target audiences to achieve growth goalsKeep abreast of digital trends and develop strategies to capitalize on them to drive our brands / businessIdentify ways to evolve brand and consumer marketing across e-commerce, digital and social channels to maximize brand positioning and revenue across third-party partnersIntegrate deep marketing knowledge inclusive of social media, paid media, digital marketing, creative, analytics, data, PR and partnerships to help inform communications strategies and diagnose performance of key business areas from end to endDrive development of OEB plans for key programs at a global levelWork with key partners to increase sophistication of OEB planning to fully optimize joint ecosystems and budgetsSet campaign KPIs and own the measurement and evaluation processes in partnership with the GBC and Regional Marketing leadsDrive the reporting process on key campaigns to champion continual improvement and maximize ROI across the businessManage Global marketing budget for Disney Pixar and Cross-Franchise initiativesLead AOP and 5YP processes for Disney Pixar and Cross-Franchise Global teamLead analysis of competitor marketing and share insights back with the businessPartner extensively with Regional Marketing teams, GBC, Marketing Center of Excellence, Creative, PD and Communications teamsKeep abreast of industry, market-place and consumer trends that impact our marketing approach and proactively share with the broader teamCoach and mentor direct and indirect reports within the team to support their ongoing growth and development

Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years' experience in Marketing, strategic planning or related areas of Marketing expertiseStrong partnering and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional peersDeep experience in marketing a major brand, including writing input briefs and strategic planningAbility to obtain and accurately interpret data from multiple sources, leveraging data to develop compelling recommendationsExperience managing Global marketing budgets

Required Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $163,500 to $219,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
