Our client is seeking an accomplished, energetic, and entrepreneurial sales and marketing leader to fill the critical role of VP of Sales and Marketing. Backed by leading digital infrastructure investment firm SDC Capital Partners, our client is a well-capitalized fiber broadband start-up with aggressive plans to launch, scale and expand its FTTH, SMB and MDU business lines across multiple regions in Texas and surrounding states. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP will be joining an executive team that brings decades of fiber broadband, infrastructure, and technology experience with a proven track record of building and growing successful businesses.With significant investment capital to support network and customer expansion across a growing number of new markets, our client is well-positioned for exponential growth. To help the company achieve its aggressive growth plans, our client is recruiting a hands-on, strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial VP of Sales and Marketing to drive growth, steward the brand and build out marketing capabilities and infrastructure. This key member of the senior leadership team will be responsible for all aspects of marketing and sales efforts for the company throughout all operating areas.In successfully developing and growing these critical areas of the business, this VP will have an opportunity to significantly accelerate the growth trajectory. Oversee all marketing and sales strategy for residential, MDU, and commercial business units, driving sales and product penetration to meet and exceed forecasted plans. Responsible for driving overall results, exceeding goals, and bringing a new level of performance, process, execution, and delivery to the organization by fostering positive customer experiences at all transaction points.Compete aggressively to build subscriber bases and customer loyalty in an increasingly fragmented and highly competitive environment. Provide a competitive value proposition and superior level of customer service to differentiate the new venture from competitors.Increase presence in the communities it serves by identifying opportunities for engagement and highlighting our commitment to our communities and customers.Operate as an integral member of the executive management team, responsible for developing and implementing holistic, creative strategies that drive the overall business forward.Bring strong leadership, innovation, and accountability to the organization. Maintain a focus on constant improvement and education, coaching, inspiring, and growing the team across the Sales and Marketing functions.Clearly define and communicate the brand and value proposition in the markets it serves, and ensure that product offerings, pricing, and promotional plans both meet and exceed customer expectations and drive results. Develop a pricing and packaging strategy that delivers both customer and revenue growth.Successfully translate marketing, sales, and product data into business opportunities that provide increased customer loyalty, brand position, and competitive edge, as well as deliver contribution margin. Improve customer acquisition, upsell, and retention results, while reducing churn and cost per sale.Drive demand generation across online and inbound channels, delivering the right volume to the appropriate sales channels.Listen to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts. Establish and implement standardized metrics and ensure the correct data is being measured in the right ways, deepening insights into what customers need, integrating channels, increasing connects, and maintaining/increasing ARPU.Establish and implement a clear digital and social strategy that engages with and supports customers at every touchpoint. Leverage digital channels as both a functional tool and an effective marketing tool that demonstrates a commitment to customer service at the highest level.Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development branding, communications, etc.) and ensure they properly project brand in the markets it serves. Work with other departmental leaders to guide a unified approach that aligns with the brand message.Minimum Qualifications

15+ years of experience in senior marketing and sales leadership, with experience in telecom/broadband, and with responsibility for strategic planning and plan execution. A track record of improving sales, retention, and churn trends for products/services as a result of new marketing initiatives.Bachelor’s in Marketing or Communications or relevant experience.Track record and reputation for conducting business with the highest standards of integrity and ethics.A unique blend of business prowess, strategic thinking and marketing/sales savvy combined with a customer-first focus; must be able to synthesize market dynamics, customer behavior and tactics to achieve revenue and customer growth objectives. Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods.Strong operational expertise, functional P&L management, and general business knowledge, with a track record of successfully achieving revenue targets.Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, etc.).History of developing business cases and executing pricing and packaging initiatives; ability to validate market trends to business and customer needs through customer insight and competitive intelligence.Ability to develop and apply marketing tactics across digital, social media, and non-digital channels.Experience building and leading a team to accompany a rapidly-growing business. Strong ability to develop and grow team members, as well as experience in implementing systems and infrastructure to support a company in rapid growth mode.Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities. Proven ability to interface with and present to both internal and external key stakeholders and large audiences with conviction and confidence.Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Will require travel up to 35% of work time.About:
