The Marketing Technology is responsible for delivering best-in-class tools, data, and processes so teams at DoorDash can effectively acquire new customers, drive retention, and grow new business lines across all our audiences, including Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants. Our mission is to enable teams to deliver personalized, engaging, and relevant content across all our owned and paid channels. We’re responsible for driving the Marketing Technology vision and strategy, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to translate Marketing’s technology needs into measurable business outcomes.About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced highly technical marketer to define and lead the marketing vision and roadmap for our Marketing Platforms. This role will oversee both internal and third-party tools that drive promotional and transactional content across email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app channels. As Marketing’s main point of contact with our Growth Product & Engineering teams, you’ll be responsible for identifying and prioritizing product requirements, ensuring that resources are focused on solving the most critical business challenges. Lead the Marketing vision and roadmap for our Marketing Platforms enabling teams to efficiently and effectively deliver best-in-class marketing and promotional campaigns across all owned channels, including email, push, SMS, and in-app.Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to identify opportunities, build business cases, and implement solutions that will improve the customer experience, drive operational efficiency, and support growth initiatives across multiple lines of business.Serve as a technical leader and resource for Growth Marketing, working with Marketing Leads to develop, prioritize, and manage Product & Engineering requests.Own product and feature adoption, developing processes, training, and documentation so that Marketing teams are able to unlock the full potential of our Marketing Platforms.Improve internal tools, processes, and safeguards to ensure our customers consistently receive personalized, relevant, and high-quality content from DoorDash.Drive the evolution of our marketing operations and governance processes by identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and ensuring consistent and efficient execution across all marketing activities.Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership for topics related to our Marketing Platforms, providing insights and recommendations to support evolving goals and business needs.We’re excited about you because…

You have at least 8 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Product, or Growth teams, with a deep understanding of Marketing Technology, especially CRM tools and Marketing Automation Platforms.You have extensive experience working with enterprise-level CRM and Marketing Automation Platforms and a strong technical understanding of how those platforms work and integrate with additional internal and third-party tools, including the relevant data concepts (APIs, JSON, ETLs, etc.)You are solutions-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, and have a proven track record of managing and delivering technical projects.You have an outstanding ability to think creatively and enjoy working on complex problems. You are able to effectively manage risks and devise alternatives when faced with roadblocks.You excel at navigating ambiguity and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deeply understand and solve business challenges, synthesizing complex ideas into actionable recommendations.You are a strategic negotiator with cross-functional partners and have a proven track record in being able to influence without authority.You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are confident in presenting technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.You have strong interpersonal skills and can work with team members at all business levels across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures.You thrive in high-impact, fast-paced, cross-functional environments and consistently drive impactful business outcomes while prioritizing customer experience in decision-making.You have strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills; must be very comfortable with data analysis and able to use data to make decisions, including having hands-on experience working with SQL and BI tools.We expect this position to be filled by 10/22/24We use Covey as part of our hiring and / or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location.Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.
