The Role

We are actively looking for a creative, ambitious, collaborative Designer to join our team in New York or Washington, DC. In this role, you will work across clients and industry verticals on a range of projects and deliverables, and have the opportunity to grow your skills as part of a Creative group that values diversity of thought and experience.

Responsibilities

Work with teams to design a variety of materials including content and presentations to support clients and business development including:Concepting creative ways to simplify and visualize complex informationMaking recommendations on form and function of materialsProducing presentation materials, for use in digital formats.Creating custom graphics and designs, including brand identities, print and digital collateral, presentations and other original workCollaborate with the producers, other designers, creative group members and account teams to gather and share best practicesEnforce and follow established style guides and brand standardsMeet deadlines dependablyAdapt creative concepts to a wide variety of formats and mediaBrainstorm, conceive and pitch original ideasTackle hands-on design across all mediaSee projects from start to completion, including final productionParticipate in every facet of the design processRequirements

2+ years of design experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment at a digital, PR or advertising agencyPassionate about design, communication, and client serviceUnderstanding of and experience in layout, color theory and typography in both digital and printImpeccable typography skillsAbility to uphold brand and style guidelines while creating new graphic content within those guidelinesDemonstrated knowledge of presentation and information designOutstanding problem-solving skills and a positive attitudeAbility to communicate efficiently and effectively with colleagues who understand design as well as agency colleagues who may notDesire and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage time effectively, and quickly incorporate multi-dimensional feedbackDetail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefullyExpert knowledge, accuracy and speed in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint with working knowledge of Word; motion graphics and animation skills (After Effects) a plus.Natural born curiosity and creativityA “yes” mentality, even if that means saying yes now and figuring it out laterA collaborative spirit while working closely with fellow designers, strategists, writers, developers and account staff to produce amazing workOpenness to learn and stretch beyond your artistic comfort zoneA sense of humor and love for what you do.The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
