.The Opportunity:As the Senior Director, Content Acquisition, you will play a crucial role in shaping our content portfolio and driving growth. By strengthening relationships with content providers, studios and creators and negotiating pricing, you will identify revenue growth opportunities and increase user engagement for one of our fastest growing home entertainment offerings. You will lead a passionate dedicated team in delivering exceptional content experiences to LG audiencesStrategic planning- develop and execute a content acquisition strategy aligned with our business and revenue goals.Relationship building- cultivate strong relationships with our over 300 channel content partners. Utilize collaborative approach to negotiate favorable terms.Financial analysis- evaluate content acquisition deals, considering factors such as cost, revenue potential and audience demands.Content Curation- work closely with our content team to curate a diverse and engaging content library.Market Research- leverage external trends and analysis of competitor offerings and emerging content formats. Evaluate and identify expansion opportunities such as: original content deals and monitor partner performance.Leadership- Apply exceptional leadership skills to help mentor and drive our Content Acquisition team to achieve our strategic Content Acquisition mission.What You Can Bring:Minimum of 10 years of proven success in the Content/Ad tech or platform business in the areas of content acquisition, licensing and or distribution.Well-developed and broad knowledge of digital content platforms, streaming services, and copyright law including how the platform and ad-tech business operates within its unique eco-system.Proven ability to manage key relationships, structure and close complex agreements, identify growth opportunities, pitch new projects, and engage with senior leaders on strategic initiatives.Expansive knowledge of internal/external domestic and international negotiations and an ability to pitch and represent the interests of LG in various highly visible forums.Ability to develop, mentor, hire and inspire a team.Passion for and expertise in building strong partnerships with internal/external partners and prospects.Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and utilize content performance metrics and the health of LG channels.Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.At LG, we aspire to empower people and celebrate differences because we believe diversity will create the unexpected.
