With exceptional storytelling strategies and a disciplined editorial process, you’ll elevate confidence in the future of Ford and ignite passion for our products and services.This role is responsible for developing creative, streamlined, editorial content for Ford’s employees, partners and alumni via the @FordOnline intranet, the BlueOvalNow employee app, digital signage and alumni communications. You will:Build and lead our editorial process and content team, including cross-functional partners, interactive designers, videographers and internal reportersCollaborate with the larger Ford Communications team to create editorial plans to support all major skill team moments like product launches, etc.Re-evaluate and reimagine processes and practices as needed to consistently maintain a high-performance internal communications newsroomInspire your team to tell compelling stories through film and video, graphic design, and thoughtful prose with angles tailored to our internal audiencesUsing data and insights to identify unique and intriguing storytelling opportunities to drive attention, excitement, engagement and business resultsIdentify and exploit emerging content and creative platform trends/softwareDeliver multi-channel content propositions to optimize our storytelling objectivesAct as a true organizational leader and partner within the overall Ford Employee Communications team to ensure the editorial strategy is aligned with that of Employee EngagementInspire a culture of optimism, competitiveness and creative excellenceMonitor and evaluate content performance and engagementUtilize data and research to ensure that campaigns are successfulBalance staff and production budgetsYou'll have...Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related field8-10 years of experience in communications, including experience in online editorial or content management rolesFive or more years of experience leading online publishing, channel planning, or content amplification strategiesEven better, you may have...Successful candidate should be able to lead/contribute to a multi-disciplined team and have a background that includes editorial experience in a news-making environment plus public relations or internal communications, digital content marketing or content creationDemonstrated track record developing comprehensive, integrated strategies designed to tell an enterprise story to internal audiencesStrong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to develop compelling stories that are persuasive, engaging and quotableCan-do attitude and a sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environmentEnergetic and skilled storyteller – long form, short form, visual and up to date with latest trendsSelf-starter, comfortable operating in a fast-paced and less-defined environmentExperience applying quantitative methods, including data, research, impact, and measurement to content strategyDemonstrable experience with and knowledge of social and digital media platforms and tools to bring mobile first approach to our employee appContinuous demonstration of superior problem-solving, decision-making and project management skillsExperience managing a multi-disciplined, creative teamAbility to work with dispersed talent (e.g. multiple locations, different talents) on virtual team projectsStrong knowledge of AEM-based publishing and collaboration tools such as Trello is an advantageYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
