Responsibilities:
At University Village Store:
Plan and create all interior store displays
Maintain high visual standards in a way that supports Ravenna Gardens brand
Planning and implementing regular display changes to highlight new products, changing seasons and keeping the look fresh
Daily restocking and maintaining of optimal product levels for all products, both regular and seasonal
Tracking weekly sales in order to create product restocking lists for weekly deliveries from warehouse
Analyzing sales over time to determine appropriate space allocation for product categories to maximize dollars per square foot
Identifying inventory needs and communicating with buyer regarding reorders of bestselling products to avoid stock-outs
Planning & leading the installation of the Ravenna Gardens sales space at the annual Northwest Flower and Garden Festival
Working with store management to coordinate merchandising needs alongside general store operations for smooth implementation of major visual changes
Train store staff to support the overall merchandising plan
Create in-store product signage to inform and entice customers
Acquire and retain an extensive knowledge of all products, product categories and inventory levels
At our Georgetown based warehouse:
Work with warehouse team to jointly select product to be delivered to the store each week
Safely pack and unpack product from warehouse to store and vice versa with optimal efficiency
Acquire knowledge of warehouse organization methods to support easy and efficient product picking along with regularly familiarizing yourself with current inventory and new inventory
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-year visual merchandising experience
Highly creative and imaginative
Possess clear and concise communication skills
Ability to balance creative capability with organization and time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as with others
Willingness to work M-F, outside of store hours, starting at 4am on merchandising days
Sales experience
Detail oriented and organized
Ability to effectively balance priorities and carry them out efficiently & neatly
Possess situational awareness to minimize impact of merchandising operations on the ambiance of the store during business hours
Create and constantly maintain ADA approved isle widths, adjusting merchandise as need to accommodate wheelchairs and strollers
Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
