Associate Director, Design

Associate Director, Design with WorkandCo International, Inc. d/b/a Work & Co (Brooklyn, NY)Create visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, transform, inform, and captivate the audience. Design leader driving the user experience strategy and design direction of products. Responsibilities extend beyond crafting visually appealing interfaces; lead cross-functional teams in conceptualizing, prototyping, and iterating on designs to meet user needs and business objectives. The role involves conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to inform design decisions, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey. Responsible for collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-centric solutions, while also managing and guiding junior designers to foster their growth and skill development. Ultimately, will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of products, delivering impactful experiences that resonate with users and drive business success. Supervises 3 employees, including 1 Senior Designer and 2 Designers.Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Brooklyn, New York.15% travel required, domestically and internationally.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, UI Design, or a related field. Requires 4 years of related experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Creating prototypes at different fidelity levels (Principle, Figma, and Framer); Developing design systems including visual treatments, visual specs, and annotations for the financial services sector; Implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for financial sector components and web-flow designs; Designing digital ecosystems sufficient for display across multiple surfaces such as Android, IOS, Web, Mobile, TV, and Watch OS; Designing B2C apps and websites for the hospitality industry; Designing B2B website for construction, industrial, and distribution manufacturers; and Developing vision strategy, design, and interactions for Operating Systems hardware mobile devices.Offered salary range: $155,000 - $180,000 per yearTo apply, send resume to: designworkcareers@work.co ** Please note: The 'Experience Required' in the Job Information section is 4 years of related experience.
