Job Description:
Create graphic design elements to support various urban planning team work - such as maps and diagrams within development proposals, advertising and public engagement elements; Prepare and coordinate reports and documentation for development proposals; Produce creative, engaging, and delightful stories to communicate the intent of the project and its unique features; Collaborating with the broader Placemaking team to define a project's vision and direction; Conduct background research (case studies, best practices, urban trends); Support proposal preparation and other business development activities; Coordinate presentations and materials for public meetings and events; Collaborate with the team to ideate, design, and conduct creative engagement exercises and games, both in-person and virtually; and Prepare award submissions, conference presentations, and other business development activities.
Minimum Requirements: A Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Urban Placemaking and Management, or a related field (or foreign equivalent)
Special Requirements: Must have academic training or experience in the following:
Graphic design;Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator or InDesign;Visual storytelling;Photoshop; andMural and Miro.
