Position Overview:

We're on the hunt for an experienced and innovative Social Media Manager to bring our brands to life on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and other emerging social media sites. Based full-time in our Shelton, CT office, this role is pivotal in building brand awareness for Really Good Stuff and Excelligence Learning Corp., connecting with our target audience, and driving traffic to our website properties. The ideal candidate is a creative visionary, a strategic thinker, and a natural leader, with the ability to maintain a voice that resonates with our brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

Editorial Vision & Strategy:

Shape and drive the brand's social media editorial voice, ensuring all content aligns with our style, quality, and tone. Develop and manage the social media content calendar to support our marketing efforts.

Content Management:

Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, and written) with a proactive posting schedule. Take full ownership of the social media content calendar.

Engagement & Community Building:

Engage with our audience daily, turning fans into loyal customers. Actively listen, respond, and foster relationships with online influencers to enhance brand advocacy.

Collaboration & Alignment:

Partner with SEO, merchandising, and internal teams to align product and content strategies across social and website platforms. Ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.

Campaigns & Promotions:

Design and implement programs and promotions to boost community growth and engagement. Use various channel mixes, including blogs and PR, to create authentic brand awareness.

Analytics & Reporting:

Track, analyze, and report on social media performance. Use insights to optimize strategies, ensuring we stay ahead of trends and competitors.

Innovative Thinking:

Stay on top of the latest digital media and social trends, incorporating fresh ideas and tools to keep our brand at the forefront of social media.

Qualifications:

Experience:

3+ years of professional-level social media/content marketing experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in education or teaching.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or Public Relations.

Skills:

Proficiency in social media management tools and a strong grasp of analytics, tracking, and monitoring tools.

Experience with successful paid social promotions and campaigns is a plus.

Exceptional communication and writing skills, with a high sense of initiative, accountability, and ownership.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record of success.
