Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, Inc. seeks Interior Design Professional in New York, NY.Duties: Under the supervision of a licensed interior designer: Modifies and prepares production drawings during design development phase. Corrects and updates design documents. Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards. Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects. Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff. Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings. Builds models for client/project team review. Compiles data and performs elementary design computations. Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices. Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Design, Interior Design or related field.Requires knowledge of:- Conceptual design and rendering skills of either hand or computer sketching.- Space planning.-Design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness- Furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent.- Building regulations and safety codes.-Design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.- Programs including Revit and Deltek Vision.- 3D Modeling software including 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006.Telecommuting permitted.40 hours/week $62,907- $68,000 per year.
