Job Title: R-10054130 Senior Graphics/Display IP Architect

Primary Location:

Austin, TX – this is a hybrid role in which you will be in the office 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week. This position cannot be done 100% remote.

Role Summary:If you are passionate about IP architecture and driving design development efforts, this role is for you.In this position, you will work with a team to lead the graphics and display controller IP roadmap and strategy, collaborate with industry standards organizations, and ensure product differentiation through innovation.Join us and utilize your broad system knowledge to foresee and remove roadblocks in product development where your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology.

Job Responsibility:Drive the IP roadmap and strategy for graphics and display controller IP technology development with global team for all NXP display enabled products, guiding architecture and engineering teams throughout the product R&D cycle.Engage externally with industry standards organizations including MIPI, and the HDMI Forum to drive the advancement of future display interface specifications.Develop knowledge of the competitive landscape and an understanding of technologies and approaches to help ensure differentiation of NXP SOCsCollaborate with other display and graphics experts at NXP to develop key technologies to differentiate.Collaborate with business and engineering teams to formulate product concept and business case.Facilitate design development efforts, performance estimation, and performance analysis through methodology and hands-on contributions.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:MS or PhD degree in computer or electrical engineering with at least 10 years of architecture, design and/or verification experience.Experience with graphics/image OpenVG standard processingExperience with development and deployment of display interfaces such as MIPI, DisplayPort or HDMI.Experience working on SOC infrastructure architectures and related system constraints.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of display panel technologies, display video timings, display color spaces and color processing.Experience in power optimization at the IP, SoC and system levels.Record of architecting product solutions with new technologies and/or significant technological improvements.Demonstrated passion and vision for creating the strategic direction of improvements in display technologies, and the ability to see things from the points-of-view of users, external customers, partners, and other internal teams to find the best overall path forward.
