Senior Financial Analyst, Disney Entertainment Television FP&A

Job Summary:

Disney Entertainment Television (DETV) creates award-winning content across the portfolio of television brands and businesses, including ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Branded Television, FX and FX Studios, Freeform, Nat Geo and Hulu Originals. A home to dynamic storytellers and talented creators, DETV develops, produces and distributes exceptional content of unparalleled scale and reach with more than 250 programs a year representing over 4,500 hours of programming across our linear networks, and streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu, and Star.

The Shared Services FP&A Team is primarily responsible for managing the financials for DETV's centralized Business Operations departments and segment overhead costs/allocations. The team is seeking a candidate who will assist in the forecasting and planning for these groups, working closely with leaders in support of the financial needs of their organizations. The role also requires working across the Disney Entertainment segment with non-financial business partners, HR, finance, and controllership to help drive decision making. The ideal candidate possesses strong relationship, communication, and analytical capabilities, as well as excellent systems & time management skills with acute attention to detail.

Position Responsibilities :Key team member in the execution, financial review, consolidation, and submission of departmental forecasts, Annual Operating Plan, and Long-Range PlanKey contact to the Shared Services department leadersLiaise and serve as point of contact with Corporate & other segment partners (including Ad Sales, Technology, & Segment Finance) to understand external cost allocations into DETVPartner across DETV finance and accounting teams to effectively understand, update, and communicate allocations as well as explain variances vs. forecastSupport DETV capital planning and forecastingProactively drive improvement in existing financial planning models and processesProvide financial systems (SAP, Cognos TM1, Nevarro) support both within the team and as needed by partners

Position Qualifications :2+ years relevant work experience (FP&A experience in the entertainment industry a plus)Bachelor's Degree - Finance, Accounting or Economics preferredStrong financial modeling skills, strategic mind-set, and analytical skillsAdvanced technical skills with a variety of applications / systems including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (experience with Cognos TM1 and Nevarro is a plus)Innovative orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solvingDeliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build productive partner relationships

The hiring range for this position in CA is $92,742.00-$124,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
