General Description:

Responsible for analyzing information and creating financial and marketing deliverables for the ancillary coverages of clients. Focus is on dental, vision, life AD&D, disability, and worksite.

This position offers a hybrid schedule. Employee will work in our Hunt Valley office a minimum of once per week.Responsibilities:Responsible for ancillary financial analytics for clients primarily 300 to 500 lives.Prepare standard analyses. Analyses may include:Market review analysisRate and contribution analysisFinancial, contractual, and rate comparisons and analysis.Manage RFP workload for moderately complex clients. Support senior team members.Help drive USI’s panel carrier strategy and process.Serve as primary contact with insurance carriers on new business quotes and renewals. Includes requesting quotes and evaluating proposals.Develop strategic plans and solutions for less complex clients.Negotiate market results with carriers.With assistance, develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities.With guidance, write client-facing Executive Summaries providing observations, conclusions, and recommendations.Perform technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements.Participate in peer review process as a participant and a reviewer. Help mentor less-senior members of the analyst team.May assist with new hire onboarding.Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:2-5 years + experience in Ancillary Employee Benefits related field.High School Graduate. College degree preferred, but not required.Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with some instruction.Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.Must hold or be willing to obtain a Life & Disability license.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel. Includes intermediate PivotTable and VLOOKUP knowledge.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Physical Demands:Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine.
