RNT places strong emphasis on employee growth and is seeking individuals for a long-term position. The preferred candidates will possess marketing and business development expertise in the architectural, construction, and/or engineering industry. These candidates will facilitate building professional relationships with clients, contractors, and other industry professionals to inform the firm of opportunities and projects that will be a fit for RNT. These candidates will also support the Marketing Manager with implementation and strategies to develop winning proposals and interviews. Candidates should have excellent written/verbal communication skills and be able to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks with a high level of detail. The ideal candidates will support either the Ventura/SLO offices OR the San Diego Office and will require some travel.RNT Offers:Competitive salaries and end-of-year bonuses commensurate with experience.A Company culture that focuses on employee engagement and a strong emphasis on employee professional development.Company commitment to work/life balance with remote working opportunities.Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and personal leave.Team building activities, events, and alternative work schedules.The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $92,000.Responsibilities:Stay informed on our industry (attending events, ribbon cuttings, industry events, etc.).Schedule “meet and greet” meetings for principals to connect with potential clients and to stay in touch with current clients.Track funding sources and bond measures.Check board meetings, city council meetings, etc.Seek out and track upcoming projects for new business opportunities.Coordinate and attend business development meetings and events.Create brochures to send out following a client meeting.Attend regular communication meetings with marketing team and principals.Schedule and attend weekly business development meetings to share findings.Assist in the graphics production of proposals and various marketing materials using Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and other graphics related programs.Compose and edit professional correspondence, project descriptions, resumes, and other marketing materials and templates for publication as needed.Maintain and update the company's marketing database including contacts of clients, industry professionals, and local subconsultant firms.Support administrative tasks when needed.Location:The Ventura/SLO position will be based out of either: 872 Higuera St San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 OR 285 North Ventura Ave. Suite 102 Ventura, CA. 93001.The San Diego position will be located out of: 845 15th Street, Suite 500, San Diego CA 92101.RNT works a hybrid schedule with employees expected to be in the office 3x per week.Required Qualifications:Position requires a degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, business or related field.Business Development and/or Marketing experience.Knowledge of the business development proposal process (RFP/RFQs).Thrives in energetic environments where self-starting is necessary.Enjoys attending industry events, conferences, and establishing new business relationships.Comfortable working with a team, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites (specifically InDesign).Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Preferred Qualifications:Business Development and/or Marketing experience in the A/E Industry.2 or more years of related professional experience, such as researching, designing, writing, and producing business proposals, presentations, and other collateral materials.Experience in graphic design, marketing, and/or design-related field is preferred.
