Job Description
Torch Technologies, is seeking a 3D Artist to join a talented team building a high-profile immersive virtual trainer for the department of defense.
Candidates will be able to apply their skillset to a product that affects real world change in the education and training of soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and civilians.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with fellow developers, artists, and subject matter experts to develop top tier training products for military and commercial customersCreate, design, and implement high quality 3D assetsCreate highly detailed and realistic textures & materialsFollow best practices of content creation processes and ensure that art assets are performantConduct peer reviews and provide detailed documentationJob Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; and 5+ years of related experience.Portfolio of highly detailed 3D art work with a focus on environments and variety of subject matter (buildings, props, natural landscapes, etc.) Portfolio should show the ability to hit a photorealistic/believable look.Experience in Substance Designer/Painter, 3DS Max or MayaAble to take on challenging technical art tasksKnowledge of cutting-edge content creation pipelinesExperience creating asset within a Physically Based Shading and Lighting modelExperience working with Unreal 4 game engine or equivalent enginePossess a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage time efficientlyMust be autonomous while working on set tasks from the scheduleHighly organized with excellent spoken and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience building Visual Effects, Character Animation and RiggingExperience using Perforce or similar version control softwareExperience using JIRA or similar agile development toolsExperience in developing training softwarePassion for Game Development
The position requires that the candidate meet requirements to obtain a final secret security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a secret clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
