Position Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Human-Centered Design Subject Matter Expert (HCD SME) to join our team. The HCD SME will provide strategic direction and expertise in human-centered design principles, practices, and methodologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate human-centered design approaches into product development, service delivery, and organizational processes to ensure user satisfaction and drive innovation. The candidate should be able to help modernize the tools/tasks used by federal staff in the acquisition process. Assist in developing a proof of concept on how best to modernize the management of acquisitions using HCD principles.

Responsibilities:

Bring subject matter expertise in user experience (UX) design, design thinking, and user-centered methodologies in Acquisitions, Contracts, and Budgeting discussions.Interview stakeholders and users, soliciting the requirements from the perspective of HCD principles.Work as a dynamic information radiator that allows stakeholders to see how money is spent across the Lines of Businesses, Value Streams, and/or Care Settings.Bring HCD perspectives that enable senior leadership to make data-driven decisions based on real-time and historical data.Assist in developing a proof of concept on how best to modernize the management of acquisitions using HCD principles.Participate in Agile ceremonies and share responsibilities with Agile SMEHave a demonstrated understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in the context of the servicesAssist in writing and forming long-term acquisition strategiesWork with team to document and develop a proof concept for modernizing acquisition management using broad agency-wide approved tools and licensesDevelop reporting requirements and establish tracking matricesSoft skills for managing customer and internal relationshipsSuperior written and verbal communication skills, including a proven ability to explain complex HCD concepts to senior business leaders and stakeholders.Proven ability to effectively drive people, process, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environmentExcellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, and consulting skillsRequired Qualifications:

A total experience of TEN years or more delivering, consulting, and other professional services to federal and private sector clientsBachelor's or Master's degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experiencePreferred Qualifications:
