KdG, a Division of Shive Hattery, St. Louis office & Chicago office has an immediate full-time opening for an
Interior Designer
with five (5) to ten (10) years of experience.
We are a full-service design firm offering interior design, architecture, engineering, and landscape architecture. You will be an integral member of the design team working on all phases and aspects of our varied projects in the Gaming & Hospitality Market.
Qualifications:
Experience in working on Gaming or Hospitality projectsGraduate from an accredited Interior Design programBachelor's degree in interior designNCIDQ Certification or the ability to become certifiedAbility to develop, communicate, and present design concepts with the project team, to the client, and to outside vendors/agenciesExperience using Revit, Enscape, BSD Speclink, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suites, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other related graphic software programs is expectedCurrent knowledge of materials, finishes, furnishings, and equipment; including industry standards for selection, procurement, and install management of such itemsExperience in developing time management and organizational skills required to undertake multiple projects or facets of various projects; multi-taskingAttention to deadlines is criticalExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to see the bigger picture and participate in a team to achieve the goal.Motivated to both meet and exceed goals in a self-directed way; works hard with limited supervision.Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and commitments and be consistently on schedule.Requirements
Engage with the project team from programming/scope definition, design, and documentation through implementationCollaborate with the project architect and other Interior Designers on all aspects of project deliveryPreparation of elements of project schematic / conceptual designs including: programmatic space plans, floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, floor finish plans and dimensional sketches required to convey design intent for in-house and client reviewsRender conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation / design drawingsPreparation of working drawing contract documents, plans, details, schedules, technical specifications, FF&E specifications using Revit, BSD, Excel and other related softwareCoordinate document requirements with design team and corresponding plan and drawingsAbility to attend on-site visits and field reviews, and provide direction to outside contractors and vendors if necessaryDevelopment of technical / design solutionsAssist in design presentation developmentExceptional presentation skillsRevit/BIM modeling and project documentationFollow project development and production standardsContinuous personal improvement and educationAbility and willingness to travel.Ability to provide field observations on construction job sites
