As we continue to expand, we're looking for a talented and versatile UI/UX Designer to join our team and help shape the future of our customer experience and brand.

Position OverviewThe UI/UX Designer at AmmoSquared will play a pivotal role in both our digital and physical brand presence. This role will start with a primary focus on UI/UX design for our web app, with graphic design responsibilities for marketing and branding projects as a secondary focus. As a senior member of the team, the UI/UX Designer will be doing hands-on design work but will also be instrumental in building and leading a team of creatives as the company grows. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about design, has a strong understanding of the firearms industry, and is eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesUI/UX Design : Lead the design of user interfaces for the AmmoSquared web app, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience across all platforms, including both mobile and desktop. Specific deliverables may include wireframes, prototypes, user flow diagrams, user journeys, low fidelity mockups, high-fidelity visual designs and other deliverables as appropriate.User Research : Conduct user research, analyze data, and apply insights to continually improve the user experience.Collaborative Development : Work closely with the product and development teams during implementation to ensure that design concepts are translated into fully functional and visually compelling features.Graphic Design : Take charge of marketing design projects as needed, including overhauling the AmmoSquared website, designing promotional materials, creating email templates, and generally maintaining brand consistency across all channels.Branding and Visual Identity : Develop and maintain AmmoSquared’s visual identity guidelines, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, including the website, social media, packaging, printed materials, and promotional items.Project Management : Oversee complex design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.Leadership and Team Building : Initially focus on direct design work, while also laying the groundwork to build and lead a team of designers and creatives as the company grows. This role will evolve into a leadership position with broader responsibilities as the company scales.

QualificationsExperience : Extensive experience in both UI/UX and graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing work across digital products for both mobile and desktop platforms, as well as marketing materials.Design Principles : Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture, ensuring that designs are not only visually appealing but also highly functional and user-centric.User Research : Proven experience in conducting user research, analyzing data, and applying insights to improve user experience.Technical Skills : Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and Balsamiq. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, enabling effective collaboration with developers and a good sense of the technical feasibility of designs.Problem Solving Aptitude : Natural ability to understand problems and ideate on potential solutions.Communication Skills : Strong ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.Project Management and Leadership : Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex design projects from concept to completion, and the ability to mentor and guide a growing team of designers.Firearms Experience : First-hand experience owning and using a firearm, and purchasing ammunition. This experience will help the designer understand our users.Education : Completed formal education in Design, including a degree or certificate, or equivalent professional experience.Location:

Must reside within commuting distance of Nampa, ID to support our flexible hybrid (in-office + remote) work style.
