GIS Analyst

to be a key resource on a technical services team.

**Location of job: Onsite. Candidate must be local to Austin, TX**

ResponsibilitiesThis position will support two critical statewide data development projects. Analysts should be familiar with ArcGIS Pro desktop software and GIS editing and analysis principles. Staff will provide analysis skills to complete two statewide datasets, our client’s Bridge Polygon, and 3D elevation dataset and our client’s ROW Footprint dataset. This position will conduct analysis, perform editing, quality assurance, and report progress and status of data development efforts.

Other Responsibilities :Create, maintain, and update GIS databases, cartographic productsDevelop workflows and standard operating procedures for data development projectsMay utilize ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS to create, maintain, update feature services and web maps/dashboardsApplied knowledge of Esri web app suites including Experience builder, Field Apps, Dashboard, Survey123, Web App Builder, and Story Maps is a major plus. Excellent opportunity for on-the-job training and learning of web-based GIS systems.

Staff at this level are expected to have 1-3 years of experience of applied GIS in a professional or educational environment. Applicants should have knowledge of commonly used GIS concepts, practices, and procedures. Staff will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

QualificationsMinimum (Required):2 years of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) editing, analysis, or visualization.1 year experience working in a collaborative editing environment.

Preferred (Optional):1 year experience using the Esri ArcGIS Online Environment
