ResponsibilitiesTechnical design, development and delivery of complex features and enhancement of the Omni Promotions Engine APIs·Develop secure and high-quality production code, and actively participate in code review and test solutions to ensure it meets best practice specifications.·Drive conversations with offshore team and able to assign the tasks and review the completeness of those tasks.·Work across entire tech stack from enterprise applications services to data base.·Conduct POCs related to promotions for omni channels.·Contribute to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability and performance of the omni promotions engine API’s.·Serves as a subject matter expert on the projects related to Omni Promo Engine domain.·Participate in sprint releases with close to zero tolerance on delivery slippages.·Able to quickly understand the business domain of promotions for dotcom and retail channels.·Proactively monitor, identify, isolate and resolve problems to avoid impact on the business.·Ensure all teams related incident tickets are handled appropriately within the SLA’s.
We’re excited about you if you have:6+ years of hands-on experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering enterprise solutions with excellent debug and troubleshooting skills.Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot frameworks, JBoss and other web related technologiesFirst-hand experience in designing, deploying and managing RESTful APIs using JSON message structuresHands-on experience with designing cloud-based applications using micro services architecture and best practices preferably on MS Azure cloud platformHighly preferred if you have experience with decomposing monolith application into micro servicesHands-on experience with Istio service mesh, Feign client for third party calls, service discovery, Prometheus and Azure loggingImplemented monitoring and alerts dashboards using Splunk, Nagios and App Dynamics·Hands-on experience with queueing and streaming solutions such as Kafka, JMS, Coherence, etcHands-on experience with My SQL, MS SQL and any other No SQL databases·Preferred to have first-hand experience on the Talon.One promo engine tool·Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and use good coding standards and design patterns to avoid them in the first placeWorking experience with GitHub, Jenkins and other dev ops related tools & applicationsHighly self-motivated, independent, efficient and work under pressure with a solid sense for setting prioritiesAbility to work in a fast-paced (startup like) agile development environmentFriendly, articulate, and interested in working in a fun, small team environmentExperience working in the retail industry with a large-scale enterprise organization, ecommerce, marketing and self-serviceable applications will be a plusBS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent; MS preferred
