Winston-Salem, NC, USAROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVESThis position reports to Vice President HR Business Partner – Marketing. The role will be responsible for partnering with the marketing leaders and the marketing HRBP Team and to support the delivery of the talent agenda for the function as a member of the Marketing HRBP Team. This role will be responsible for strategic and tactical employee relations consultation and resolution to managers and employees including coaching, counseling and adherence to company, HR, and departmental policies and procedures (including the TM Playbook and all marketing compliance policies and procedures).WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FORPrimary strategic partner to marketing function for employee policy and conduct violations.Serves as a critical issue point for the marketing business partner team as it relates to employee relations issues, and a liaison between the marketing HRBP team and the Employee Relations team.Conduct investigations and follow up on complaints from the marketing function.Recommending appropriate corrective and coaching actions.Provide coaching and guidance to the marketing HRBP Team on performance management and performance improvement plans.Support the marketing HRBP Team as it works with the marketing function to implement and manage human resources processes, including:Talent management, development, recruitment, and succession planning.Employee engagement strategies and plans.Base salary determination and review.Strategic workforce planning.ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGEMinimum of five to seven years of experience in progressively responsible roles within human resources, including human resources business partner or “generalist” roles.Experience demonstrating organizational design principles and strategies to drive organizational effectiveness preferred.Prior experience implementing talent strategies for a research and development function highly preferred.Knowledgeable in groundbreaking business practices, trends and information.Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.Strong collaboration and team-oriented approach.Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.Bachelor’s or graduate degree in business, human resources or a related field preferred.BENEFICIALSHRM or HCI Certification preferred.WE ARE REYNOLDS AMERICAN—A member of the BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO GROUPAt Reynolds American, we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
