The Media Operations Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining solid working relationships with client contacts and for proper services of accounts. This position will ensure work is on strategy and on time. The Media Operations Coordinator will be expected to provide excellent service and manage client expectations by understanding client marketing goals, knowing project details, and communicating clear, concise information to internal and external parties. The primary role of the Media Operations Coordinator is to process orders for all printed products, secure creative assets for print and digital ad campaigns and deliver those assets along with call-to-action information to parties responsible for fulfillment of the campaigns.The Minnesota Star Tribune Advertising Operations team gives clients an advantage over traditional local media. Along with our own print products such as The Star Tribune, Star Tribune Magazine, Twin Cities Values and many more, and digital assets such as Startribune.com, our smartphone apps, and newsletter campaigns, we build out complete digital marketing campaigns for our clients including paid search, social media marketing and off-channel audience based programmatic buys. Our teams execute, optimize, and analyze both owned and operated and off channel marketing campaigns for our clients to ensure the best results. We are more than a newspaper publisher; our sales executives and digital operations staff take the time to strategize and develop full-service campaigns.Responsibilities:Process availability, projection requests and insertion orders for all print products: ROP, Special Sections, Pre-prints, P&Ds and Magazine.Create and update customer records/accounts in the company database as required.Facilitate the creation and coordinate delivery of the necessary components for print and digital advertising products, as well as ensure accuracy in layout/design, mechanical requirements, and specifications.Verify that creative assets reflect client’s strategy and meet specifications for O&O suite of products, advantage digital campaigns, and print products.Ensure click-through URLs and landing pages are accurate for digital campaigns and determine and convey accurate UTMs for all click-through URLs.Deliver all necessary assets (e.g. creative, tracking elements, landing pages, URLs) for trafficking of digital products to the Campaign Manager or Media Buyer, in a well-organized and easily actionable package.Communicate regularly with internal/external parties to review and optimize clients’ plans.Provide customers and account executives with proof of performance on print and digital products (i.e. tearsheets and screenshots).Report any creative, inventory or service issues to management and the appropriate account executive immediately.Qualifications:Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a client services role or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field.Strong knowledge of MS Office suite.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities, and responsibilities.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to present clear, concise information to all levels of the organization.Demonstrated decision making ability and problem determination/resolution skills, including the ability to apply problem solving skills effectively to both crisis and non-crisis situations.Ability to operate effectively in an environment of frequent change and ambiguity.More about the Star Tribune:At the Minnesota Star Tribune, we recognize that our employees are our greatest asset, and we are committed to their happiness, growth, and well-being.
