Myticas's direct client based out of Chicago, IL is currently seeking a Multimedia Technician for a contract position.NOTE:

In room support for complex meetings (includes assisting with mic’ing speakers, managing camera angles, muting mics, providing assistance with streaming, etc).Provides consultations with clients to determine technical requirements for complex programs. Executes on setup and assists with in room production as needed.Track equipment failures and issues in the issues log; schedules AV supplier for maintenance calls; coordinates periodic preventative maintenance shut down activities.Top 3 Soft Skills Required:

Excellent customer service skills.Ability to determine, evaluate, and diagnose advanced video-related connection issues and performance problems.Knowledge of using OBS to stream and produce live events, and familiarity with technology, webcams, cameras, and streaming software and platforms.Job Description:

The Senior Multimedia Technician provides technical support on the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of multimedia solutions. This position is considered advanced level and performs work of moderate to high complexity. The incumbent works under general supervision and may lead some efforts autonomously. This job does not have any direct reports but may lead the work of junior staff.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages support tickets from the ticketing system and ensures a high level of client support and service.Resolves routine identified issues utilizing pre-existing procedures and escalates as necessary to the proper source.Maintains troubleshooting of basic AV, videoconferencing, and audio-conferencing issues of moderate complexity.Partners with vendor(s) and other IT groups to resolve issues.Assists with installation, setup, monitoring, testing, and maintenance of conferencing technologies, including video, audio, and network components, AV systems, and other custom AV solutions.Manages scheduling and customer communications for videoconferencing calls and AV conferencing.Supports recording functions and multimedia distributions and scheduling.Assists in the development of audio, video, and data conferencing solutions using components such as televisions, monitors, user interfaces, microphones, cameras, codecs, AV processing equipment, and AMX control systems.Assists in setup/install of cameras, audio mixer, and AV mixer for streaming service.In-room camera operation for streaming events.Provides consulting and training services on the effective use of A/V equipment and prepares related training materials and reports for consulting services.Proactively identifies any needs for backup equipment and works to implement solutions where possible.Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or commensurate specialized training, certification, or work experience.Minimum three years of work experience.Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent customer service skills.Intermediate level technical troubleshooting skills.Ability to determine, evaluate, and diagnose advanced video-related connection issues and performance problems.Intermediate knowledge of AV infrastructure and field implementation, with a strong understanding of the relationship between audio, video, telecommunications technology components, and software.Knowledge of using OBS to stream and produce live events.Knowledge of technology, webcams, cameras, and streaming software and platforms.Remain familiar with and able to troubleshoot all technical equipment related to live broadcast and streaming: Lighting, Audio & cameras.
