Music Therapist - Music Therapy
Full-time, day shift
Job Description:
* The board-certified Music Therapist works within the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychosocial and medical needs of patients receiving inpatient and outpatient treatment at Baptist Health Hardin.
* The board-certified Music Therapist provides a patient centered approach to meet the needs of patients and families; plans and coordinates evidence-based interventions using music to address the goals of care; enhance patient experience by monitoring and responding to therapeutic evaluative information; and acts as an advocate for patients and their families.
* The board-certified Music Therapist will also support the organization through staff support opportunities to prevent burnout and other community engagement opportunities.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in music therapy from an accredited institution required; two Master's equivalency in music therapy may be substituted in lieu of bachelor's degree.
* Board certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) required.
* Soothing and pleasant singing voice.
* Ability to learn substantial amounts of music quickl
* Proficient in keyboard and guitar as accompanying instruments.
* Ability to create a safe environment and mode of expression through musi
* Comprehensive knowledge of age-appropriate music spanning from newborn to geriatrics Knowledge of all developmental stages of life.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in music therapy from an accredited institution preferred.
* Two years of clinical experience in a healthcare of hospital setting preferred.
* NICU- MT Certification preferred.
