Role DescriptionThis is a contract on-site role for a Technical Director for Hope Ent. The Technical Director will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our weekly live production and requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for storytelling through video, who can work under pressure and manage a team of camera operators and technical staff. This person reports to the Lead Producer/ Director to execute weekly live production as well as special events.

Key Responsibilities:Lead the technical execution of live video production during weekly live productions, ensuring seamless transitions, camera angles, and visual consistency.Supervise and guide the operation of a 4-camera set-up, including one specialty camera, ensuring optimal performance and quality.Provide direction and support to camera operators and technical staff, ensuring everyone is aligned with the production goals and understands their roles.Manage the setup and breakdown of all video equipment, ensuring that all cameras, switchers, and monitors are functioning properly.Quickly diagnose and resolve any technical issues that arise during rehearsals or live services to minimize disruptions.Monitor the live feed to ensure video and audio quality meet the client's standards, making adjustments as necessary.Work closely with the Lead Producer/Director to create cohesive and engaging live production.Participate in post-service meetings to review the production and suggest improvements for future services.

QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in live video production, preferably in a church or similar environment.Minimum of 5 years of experience with video switchers, cameras, and related broadcast equipment. Experience with multi-camera setups is essential.Proficient in ProPresenter, and Planning CenterProven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to stay calm under pressure and quickly address technical issues as they arise.Strong eye for visual composition and the ability to maintain consistency across different camera feeds.Willingness to work on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings, with additional hours as needed.
