The St. Louis Post-Dispatch/stltoday.com is seeking a creative and innovative photographer/videographer to join our award-winning visuals staff.We're looking for someone who is efficient in shooting stills and video for our daily news, features, and sports assignments. We want a self-starter who is eager to push the multimedia journalism curve with innovative ideas and a unique perspective.Besides daily assignments, you will help cover four professional sports teams, breaking news, long-form features, and everything in between. You must be equally comfortable with stills and video to produce your work on deadline.The ability to produce and edit videos and photo galleries in a fast-paced environment is a must. A drone pilot license, or willingness to obtain one, is a plus.The ideal candidate will possess the following:Four-year college degree and/or at least 2 years of video/photojournalism experience for a news organization is required.Still and video portfolio demonstrating a range of daily news, features, and sports photos and any project work.Great photo/video storytelling and editing skills.Able to edit and tone images and write accurate captions while on deadline.Comfortable with location and studio lighting.Highest journalism ethics.Proficiency in managing social media to promote work.Ability to carry and manage necessary gear to produce daily work in various terrains.Resume with links to your portfolio along with recent references.Software:PhotoshopAdobe PremierePhoto MechanicKnowledge of social media video tools.Deadline to apply is noon, September 6th, 2024.Why Join Us?Lee Enterprises offers competitive wages in a dynamic, interesting work environment with career growth opportunities.
