Reporting to the Senior Manager of Special Events, North America, the desired candidate will work closely with an experienced team, focused on overseeing a variety of multimedia projects including videography, photography, video production, asset management, virtual meeting coordination, graphic design and local agency event roll-out programming across North America. Ability to project manage is a must along with a proven record in event management and a strong sense of powerful visual development.This person should be a team player that can prioritize their workload and can flex when necessary to meet departmental goals. Someone that has an event/hospitality mentality with the willingness to exceed the expectations of our stakeholders. A problem solver that is up for a challenge and ready to learn new skills. An avid photographer that is passionate about the craft, has experience with large photo/video files and keeps up with the latest asset storage technology.The communications team works closely with CMA CGMs home office in Marseille, France, and other departments within CMA CGMs North American network. A proven record as a team player in communication projects along with a collaborative style of working is a requirement for this role. A willingness to travel and work outside of standard working hours is required for this role.Essential Duties / Responsibilities:Create relevant, original, high-quality content for posting paired with compelling imagery.Asset management including research of photography archives, stock photos, requesting imagery from partners.Arrange/manage video and photography capture when warranted.Coordinate, produce and edit virtual events and webinars.General graphic design projects as needed.Track success of posted content using key metrics and suggest optimization strategies. Compile reports for management showing results.Collaborate and support communications team in addition to HO Comms, CMA CGM Foundation, Sales, HR and other key stakeholders on internal and external projects.Facilitating and supporting photography and videography for corporate events and gatherings across the United States and Canada.Assist senior team members with the implementation of other communication actions as assigned.Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Demonstrated versatility and independence when writing and editing content, working knowledge of SEO is a plus.Exceptional knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other popular online platforms.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Knowledge of new media resources and technology.Ability to plan, prioritize and manage workload independently as well as work in a deadline-driven environment.Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a multi-task, fast-paced, structured corporate environment.Proficiency in InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.Proficiency in MS Office with working knowledge of a PC platform.High level of assertiveness and self-motivation.Ability to function as a team player, share ideas, and offer and welcome constructive reviews.Ability to problem solve, evaluate effect of content on readers with different points of view and independently develop on-target copy.Ability to see the bigger picture, but hone in on specific details to make sure projects meet their stated goals.Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures, and Code of Conduct.Must be able to interact well with others.Must be able to work independently or in a team setting.Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.Must be able to lift approximately 20-30., or more if required by the essential functions of the job.Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines.Education and Experience Requirements:BA or BS in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field as well as 3 years of experience in social media content curation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of general experience required.Come along on CMA CGM’s adventure!
