This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling through the lens of a camera and eager to capture the essence of our dynamic campus life.As a Videographer/Photographer at Augustana University, you will play a crucial role in bringing our campus events, academic achievements, and community spirit to life. You will be at the forefront of portraying the university's brand through engaging and high-quality visual content and will play a key role in highlighting our academic programs, campus events, community engagements, and much more to a wide array of audiences.The duties, competencies, and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with different departments to understand their visual content needs.Manage the full lifecycle of content creation - from planning and shooting to editing, post-production, and archiving.Ensure all visual content aligns with Augustana University's brand and message.Create compelling video content for university events, promotional campaigns, and digital platforms.Stay updated with the latest trends in videography and implement innovative techniques in your work.Interacting with students, faculty and leadership with different backgrounds and points of view and a deep appreciation of and respect for academic values and culture must be a top value of the candidate.

Job Requirements Qualifications for this position:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, radio/television/film production, or related degree from a college or universityProficiency in high definition cameras and nonlinear editing equipment with at least 2 years direct experience. Photography experience required.Strong proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects).Creative vision with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Valid Driver’s License.Preferred qualifications for this position:

Proven experience in videography, including filming and editing.Prior higher education, public relations and media relations experience is preferred.Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification.Ability to develop stories for broadcast, print and social media.Knowledge of communications planning and the ability to develop original written content for a variety of audiences.Ability to create and/or apply motion graphics to videos.Powered by Journalismnext
