offers a great opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others while building your own knowledge and skillset.AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities.What will you do?

The Marketing and Communications AmeriCorps member will report to the design and communications coordinator and provide marketing and communications support for the affiliate. The efforts of the AmeriCorps will help support and bolster the affiliate's work to recruit and serve more families by increasing awareness of the affiliate, opportunities for participation, and its life-changing programs. This work will also help support community affiliations by connecting the affiliate to other organizations in the community.Creating and posting regular social media posts about homeowners, staff, and opportunities for volunteer and community engagement with the affiliate.Tracking and analyzing marketing impact.Taking well-composed photos at events, of homeowners, and on build sites.Downloading and managing photos and marketing files in a timely manner.Interviewing homeowners and writing homeowner profiles.Working with the Designer and Communications Coordinator to provide marketing collateral, such as flyers, ads, and emails to support community engagement, homeowner outreach, and volunteerism on build sites.Writing and laying out the monthly affiliate newsletter.Providing web content updates as needed.This position will focus on brand management and homeowner services aspects of Habitat affiliate operations.Where will you serve?

In Kure Beach, tour the Fort Fisher State Historic Site including exhibits, cannons, artifacts, and the remains of the South's largest earthen fort and site of the largest land-sea battle of the Civil War. Another popular attraction is the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
