Job Summary:

At Disney Branded Television, we are looking for a talented Publicity Coordinator to join our Communications team with a focus on our animation slate. The role will support the publicity team in executing comprehensive publicity campaigns. The coordinator will report directly to the Director, Publicity, and requires close collaboration with a team of publicists and senior-level executives, handling various day-to-day responsibilities related to show publicity, including providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:Compile and maintain media lists, track daily and weekly media coverage, create comprehensive media reports for projects, and keep all materials up to date.Gather and organize show assets such as images, clips, etc.Draft press materials such as bios, fact sheets, itineraries, press releases/pitches and other copy for the team.Build PowerPoint/Keynote presentations and populate reports for senior leadership teams.Create and maintain show contact sheets.Distribute press screeners, mailers, premiums, and other related materials.Support the team in the planning and execution of various publicity events (e.g., junkets, red carpet premieres, press and influencer screenings, San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic-Con, TCA, D23 Expo, etc.).Collaborate with the show publicity team to create and manage talent schedules for PR events, including junkets, premieres, and press interviews.Attend PR events to provide on-the-ground support as needed.Brainstorm story angles and pitch opportunities.Assist the team in researching media outlets, reporters, UMVs, etc.Interact with various internal departments and employees at all levels, as well as external parties (PR firms, talent, talent representatives, production staff, journalists, etc.) as needed.Support the team with various administrative needs such as scheduling meetings, managing expense reports, booking travel, processing invoices, etc.Attend meetings and take notes as needed.Provide additional support as required.

Basic Qualifications:1+ years of administrative support experience in entertainment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Keynote and Google Docs/Drive. Muckrack and Microsoft Teams experience a plus.Excellent verbal communication, writing, and organizational skills.Social media savvy, with the ability to navigate platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, etc.Strong work ethic, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.Self-motivated, proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, professional demeanor, and resourceful.

Preferred Qualifications:Strong interest in pursuing a career in entertainment publicity/communications.Passion for animation, as well as kids' and family programming.A desire and commitment to take on increasingly greater levels of responsibility.

Required Education:Bachelor's degree in communications or journalism or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $51,200 to $70,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered
