Job Summary

Uses marketing concepts to perform responsibilities such as planning, developing and implementing basic marketing plans, drafting promotional or marketing materials, working on marketing events, conducting basic market research, etc. Applies skills, policies, and procedures to complete marketing projects; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.Experience drafting persuasive ads in a variety of mediums and proofreading.Knowledge of the University mission and of the value of a degree in the humanities.Solid knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, strategies and best practices.Written and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks from several sources.Curiosity and research skills to ask questions and discover interesting stories.

Preferred QualificationsExperience promoting via websites and social media.Experience shooting and editing short, professional, promo videos.Ability to earn trust and put people at ease for video shoots.Organizational skills and skills in file/project creation, maintenance and management.
