The Rehab Admission & Marketing Representative is responsible for providing case management services to all patients referred to WakeMed Rehab as well as marketing activities to monitor and develop relationships with all referral sources. This includes conducting a thorough clinical evaluation, assessing available resources, and facilitating the development of a discharge/transfer plan from the referral location to the appropriate program within WakeMed Rehab system or recommendations for alternative care options.This position is responsible for managing the planning, development, and maintenance of an efficient admission system, establishing a community referral system, and maintaining positive public relations with all internal and external contacts.Functioning as an advocate for the patient, the representative works to identify initial goals for rehab and outcome achievement potential. Responsibilities include determining how available resources can be used, making referrals to appropriate community financial support and advocacy resources, verifying available healthcare benefits, and serving as the primary point of contact for all insurance company case managers. This includes providing communication as required for precertification of patients’ hospitalization and treatment to all involved parties to facilitate continuity of care for each patient and ensuring a smooth transition to the rehab program.Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical – Rehabilitation Or Clinical – Acute Care Or Clinical – Ambulatory Care RequiredPublic Relations Marketing or Communications And/Or Sales PreferredEducation Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language PathologyMaster’s Degree in Social Work RequiredMaster’s Degree in Related Field PreferredLicensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified/Licensed/Registered in Field of Practice And Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability RequiredHours of Work:
M-F 8:00-4:30Weekend Requirements:
