DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Educate guests on OWA’s brand, amenities, and promotionsIncrease brand awareness by bringing Toucan mascot to lifeHave friendly, positive, and informative interactions with guestsAnswer brand related questions for guests by providing excellent brand knowledge and leave every customer on a positive noteGreet and engage guests of all agesPerform and provide guest service through performance, silent gestures, and character posesEngage and delight our guests to provide long-lasting memories and positive interactionsConsistently execute toucan costume maintenance to ensure costume is always in operational show-ready conditionPromote OWA to increase sales, brand awareness and build guests loyaltyWork in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment while communicating effectively with guestsTrack performance of inventory, and collect guests’ feedbackStay in communication with supervisor, answer texts and emails in a timely mannerTransport booth and materials to event locations; set up/break down booth at the beginning and end of shiftStore and secure company property when not in useAssist OWA social media team by taking photos of consumers interacting with the brandAdhere to brand standards on all marketing programsAbility to learn subject matter related to OWA and speak confidently in public settingsProvide guests feedback on the brand and share new ideas to reach event guestsPerform all other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age or olderCandidate must be 5’6"- 5’11" for this positionMust have a High School diplomaAbility to perform both indoors and outdoors in full costumeWork effectively in a hot and claustrophobic costume environmentFrequently required to walk, stand for long periods of time, balance, stoop, kneel, sit/stand repeatedly or crouchPrevious character performing experience preferredDisplay good non-verbal communication skills to bring the character to lifeAbility to read individuals’ social cues to understand the level of interaction the guest may wantMust be willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be willing to travel to offsite events within a 300-mile radius of Foley, AlabamaMust be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, high volume work environmentStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiativeMust possess a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record; requires candidate be added onto insurance for company vehiclesMust be able to lift items up to 25 lbsAble to work outdoors in sunny, hot, humid, cold, and rainy conditions
