www.americahousekyiv.org .The Communications Officer will work under the supervision of America House Director, in close collaboration with all program team members and will support America House communications and public outreach strategies. Tasks will involve developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives that effectively convey the America House mission, services, and impact to various stakeholders, including program partners and the general public.This is an in-person position in Kyiv, Ukraine.We are doers. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.3+ years of proven relevant experience in communications, public relations, or marketing roles, particularly in the non-profit sector.Excellent English and Ukrainian;Experience working with media outlets and managing social media presence for organizations or companies;Experience with customer service, administration, and logistics preferred;Experience studying in the United States or holding an ECA alumnus/a status is an advantage.Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Must be skilled at handling multiple tasks and able to adhere to tight deadlines;Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds;You must have unrestricted authorization to work in Ukraine.Your Daily Tasks

Planning, developing and implementing communications strategies for America House Kyiv.Conducting America House brand building sessions.Development of brand awareness and online reputation.Marketing America House to the target audiences.Supporting America House Kyiv presence on social networking sites including Facebook, Instagram, and other similar community sites, including monitoring, posting and content development, running surveys, opinion polls and contests, as well as engaging in discussions where appropriate.Supporting Instagram and mass mailings operations implemented by Communications Assistant and Coordinator.Developing a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns.Developing and implementing America House website’s English Language resources content in cooperation with English Language Resident.Monitoring new trends in social media tools and applications. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices.Proofreading and editing of communication documents that will be used for outside media.Proofreading content for the America House website and social media platforms.Designing and overseeing production of America House swag.Taking lead on updating America House and Windows on America branding concept and guidelines.Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and podcasts etc., ensuring compliance with America House branding policy.Establishing cooperation with media and setting up partnerships for media-related programming.Liaising with media to publicize America House events and ensure coverage.Reaching out to potential partners. Establishing partnerships and maintaining collaboration.Collaborate with Communications Assistant and Communications Coordinator.Collaborate with other managers to identify key priorities and coordinate actions.Other support duties as needed.Benefits
