Social Media Specialist

The VISTA member will lead social media marketing, research best practices for social media engagement, build capacity for increased social media, and develop a working relationship with local media and governmental agencies. This will contribute to the targeting of low-income individuals who may not be aware of all the resources available to them from the Taney County Fire District.Member Duties:Become familiar with the mission and operation of the Western Taney County Fire District.Receive job-specific training for their tasks, such as training on the current systems used and the number of websites currently in place.Meet with staff to understand the current state of social media communications utilized by the Western Taney County Fire District.Research new opportunities to spread awareness amongst the members of the community in which the Western Taney Fire District maintains a presence.Program Benefits:Choice of Education Award or End of Service StipendHealth Coverage*TrainingChildcare assistance if eligibleRelocation AllowanceLiving AllowanceTerms:Permits attendance at school during off hours, car recommended, permits working at another job during off hours.Service Areas:NoneSkills:Communications, team work, writing/editing.
