KTUL is looking for a Content Specialist!
This person will manage all aspects of daily news coverage across all platforms by creating content to increase viewer ratings and digital engagement, including but not limited to:
Point person for daily news gathering for KTUL's content bankIdentify, write and post content across all KTUL platformsListen to scanners, monitor websites/social media, and react to breaking newsDevelop and maintain contacts and sources to enterprise story ideasProduce and time newscastsAssign and track news crews
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of producing or assignment desk experienceCommitment to journalistic standards of ethics and accuracyAbility to communicate effectivelyBasic computer knowledge/word processing skills, knowledge of iNews and Avid is a plusGeneral knowledge and interest in local, national, and world newsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesGood time management skillsCritical thinker and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and emerging social media platformsBachelor's degree with a major in Journalism is also preferred
