not freelance or contractor.The Assistant Videographer will work directly for the Videographer & Editor and is responsible for assisting in planning, filming, and editing videos used for a variety of projects to promote Tree House Brewing products, locations, career opportunities, and culture. We are looking for an organized, creative, and mechanical videographer with a strong work ethic centered on excellent organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships and communications with all managers, employees, customers, and clients at Tree House Brewing. This role is well suited for an individual who has initiative, can get up to speed on our culture and processes quickly, takes pride in minor details, and understands their impact when considered as a collective whole in the brewery. This opportunity promises an invigorating and exciting environment where good work is done so we always ask for flexibility and a sense of humor in addition to other valuable traits like intent, hard work, and good communication skills.This position is part-time (20-30 hours per week), based in Charlton, MA but will require workdays at other facilities, currently including South Deerfield, Tewksbury, and Sandwich MA, as well as Woodstock CT.As Assistant Videographer, you will be responsible for the following:Assist in successfully delivering video/audio files on various platforms, and any other elements that meet the needs and specifications of Tree House BrewingLocation sound mixingSupport the Videographer in setting up, tearing down, calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining a variety of cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and propsUploading and organizing project footage, exports, and versions in databases to ensure ease of accessEnsuring that all necessary individuals, sets, and spaces are properly prepared for film projectsAs needed, working to edit film, including, as needed, inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video, and adding computer graphics and special effects to a videoStaying up to date with industry trends and tools so that projects will be of the highest quality and uniquely suited for the Tree House brandRole Requirements:2-3 years of proven work experience as a sound technician or videographer/editorProficient in location sound mixingExcellent computer literacy, including proficiency with editing software such as PhotoShop, Lightroom, Final Cut, and Premiere Pro.Creativity and attention to detailAbility to work under deadline pressure and organization to manage time efficientlyAbility to capture snippets of film and be able to edit it into a cohesive storyFlexibility and good listening skillsA demonstrable portfolio of exceptional work.Enough patience, energy, passion, and determination to wait for the perfect shotTechnical acumen to be able to operate, configure, set up, and fix video, audio, lighting, or other production equipmentMust know computerized tape editing software and equipmentUnderstanding of post-production techniquesCan work in a variety of digital venues with software to edit and finish film workExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to sit and work at a desk for prolonged periods of timeAbility to work in outdoor elements, low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, occasionallyAbility to stand, walk, bend over, and carry equipment up to 20 lbs. for extended periods of timeBenefits and
