Fascinating and Fun Facts About Our Artist Members Part IThe Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS members are multi-talented and multi-dimensional individuals whose interests and experiences extend beyond their art studios and also have impacted them creativitely. Visit their websites and contact them directly to purchase their art.She is an internationally known artist and the founder and an instructor at the Algoma Atelier of Sculpture and Art, in Wisconsin. She has received many top awards from Manhattan Arts International and has served as a guest Special Awards juror for its competitions. Her many exhibitions include those at National Sculpture Society, Miller Art Museum, Koehline Museum, among others. “My favorite studio is the large barn my husband has been converting to classroom/studio. The cathedral ceilings and upper lofts give a spiritual feeling of freedom I never had before.”She also has a nursery on the side of her studio of beautiful monarch butterflies. “So many cocoons. Each day I like to see who has emerged.”Monique J. Dufour is an expressive abstract painter known for creating “Healing Art”. She has received several honors and accolades for her art and her collectors span the globe. Monique paints intuitively and enjoys creating customized paintings for her clients that provide personalized healing energies for them.She states, ““I am an intuitive self-taught painter. I paint with music and music paints through me, orchestrating a symphony of colors, movements, energies, and vibrations.” She also creates crystal healing wands used for Reiki, intuitive, and for personal use. In 2024 she was featured in interviews in Artist Close up and Collect Artwork-Georgia.
Beth Sheridan has studied under many known-names in the photographic community. She has also studied under some of NASA’s top photographers: it is their role to both capture the technical work of the agency as well as to teach our Nation’s astronauts how to document the earth during their tours on the International Space Station.Though best known for her detailed, and life-like, landscapes, Beth Sheridan first made her artistic debut in the 2010’s with an award-winning series of documentary-style photographs on women at work in Nepal.Roopa Dudley is widely acclaimed as “The Chess Painter”. Her bold, colorful and dramatic paintings that she describes as “gravitating towards Steampunk Art and Graphic Design”. Three of her paintings were selected in a juried competition for the PORTRAITS Exhibition at BWI Airport Gallery. Also, three of her paintings were chosen for “Artist Focus” section of the
American Art Collector Magazine ,Besides painting she successfully released her first deck of situational fortune telling cards “Roopa Dudley’s Kipperkarten”. She is also a published author of “A Strategic Painter: Mastermind Your Craft” for beginner artists. It has received rave reviews and is available on Amazon.Andre Chatelain is a masterful realist painter who has received many national and international awards including an Award of Excellence in “Art That Lifts Our Spirits”, an online art exhibition organized by The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS.In 2008, he and his spouse Agnes Jorgensen, who is also an artist, founded Painting a New World, a non-profit organization. Through the sale of their artwork, they support artists in Africa and Haiti, helping to create positive changes in their communities. They received the Humanity Art Award from the Académie Internationale des Beaux-Arts du Québec. In 2020 Painting a New World was featured in the magazine
