Producer , you’ll serve as the heart of the newsroom. You’ll lead the charge on driving local news coverage and determining the most important stories. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWSRequired QualificationsExperience : Television news - 2+ yearsEducation : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experienceTechnical Skills : Knowledge of social media platforms and basic editing skills (Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro)Skills : Go-getter personality, and excellent interpersonal and collaboration skillsTravel Ability : Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the communitySchedule : Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changesPreferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software, and basic non-linear editing systemsMay be required to lift up to five poundsWorking ConditionsWorks primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasionSemi-noisy newsroom settingSPECTRUM NEWS CONNECTS YOU TO MORECommunity Impact : You will play an important role in connecting people to, and informing them about, their local communitiesSupportive Teams : Who you are matters here.
