Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Product Marketing Manager to join our team at Mainspring Energy. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Marketing, you will play a key role in driving the creation of sales collateral, developing compelling messaging, and supporting our overall product growth. This position requires someone with a strong background in power generation, a passion for messaging, and a proven ability to craft persuasive and effective presentations.

Sales Collateral Creation: Independently develop high-quality sales presentations, case studies, and talking points that clearly communicate the value of our products. Your work will empower our sales team to effectively engage with prospects and customers.Strategic Messaging: Work closely with the Head of Product Marketing to execute the direction for product messaging. Translate complex technical concepts into compelling and clear narratives that resonate with target audiences.Product Positioning: Assist in defining and refining our product's market positioning, ensuring it stands out against competitors and aligns with customer needs.Market Research & Segmentation: Conduct market research to understand customer segments, competitive landscapes, and industry trends. Use this insight to inform messaging, positioning, and sales strategies.Product Launches & Campaigns: Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to plan and execute successful product launches and campaigns, including developing launch materials and coordinating internal training.Cross-Functional Collaboration: While you will work independently on deliverables, you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, marketing, policy, and finance to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and strategy.Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update sales and marketing materials based on feedback, market changes, and new insights to keep them relevant and impactful.Qualifications

5+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on the energy or power generation sector.Strong writing and presentation skills, particularly in crafting persuasive, well-designed sales collateral.Proven ability to work independently while setting and following strategic direction.Experience in market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.Passionate about power generation, sustainability and creating compelling messaging.Highly adaptable with a strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines (sometimes short deadlines).

The Bay Area salary for this role is $115k-$135k base + pre-IPO stock options + benefits. This position can be remote. The salary will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions based on employee location as well as the experience of the employee.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
