The Public Relations/Content Associate Manager works with the Public Relations, Content Marketing and Social Media teams in organizing, planning and executing programs with public relations, content and social media activations for Wray Ward and its clients. This position is an advancement from an entry-level position and provides growing experience in a cross-function of earned, owned and shared tactics, with an emphasis in owned tactics under content marketing. Activities may include: content writing; SEO; email marketing; social media content creation and community management; media relations; and measurement reporting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities as Public Relations/Content Associate Manager

Support content marketing managers in the planning process, including assisting with editorial calendar creationWork with content marketing managers to write, produce, schedule and track blog posts, case studies, newsletters and other written content assetsSupport SEO manager with basic on-page SEO tasks including conducting keyword research, writing metadata, and auditing and optimizing published contentSupport email marketing senior manager with building and distributing emails and newsletters and managing email databasesWork with social media managers to manage social media programs on Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest; responsibilities may include content creation, posting, engagement and monitoringWork with social media and public relations managers to execute influencer marketing programs, including influencer outreach, vetting and ongoing communicationWork with public relations managers to create media databases, identify key editors for pitching and identify target publicationsWork with managers across content, social media and public relations to track, compile and report on program measurementResearch client programs and new business initiatives, which may include online research for companies, products and competitors, and participate in ideation for planningCoordinate with account teams to create purchase orders and other activities that help in organizing and tracking client projectsRequirements

At least 2 years of related experienceSolid writing skills, including ability to quickly understand and write about topics in diverse industries and to self-edit for quality assuranceAbility to write in various formats and for a range of tactics under the PR/content umbrella, including, blogs, newsletters, social media, news releases and feature storiesInterest in understanding how search engine optimization improves online content visibility and helps inform editorial planning, and an interest in learning how to use basic SEO tools; previous SEO experience a plusInterest in learning the tools that deploy content through email marketing; pervious email marketing experience a plusUnderstanding of social media platforms and ability to use social media tools to reach set marketing program goalsUnderstanding of the role media relations plays in marketing communications plansSelf-starter who can work well in a team environmentFamiliarity with content marketing tools (e.g., Craft CMS, HubSpot), SEO tools (Semrush, Google Search Console), media management tools (Agility), social media management tools (e.g., Sprout, Sprinkler) and influencer marketing tools (Tagger) a plusBachelor's degree
