Mechanical Detailer/Designer

Kafka Conveyors & Equipment, Inc. is a well-known supplier and manufacturer of conveyors and aggregate equipment. We consistently provide 'Military Tough' equipment with prompt delivery. For years now, we at have been in a constant state of expansion. Right now, one of our biggest needs is Mechanical Designers.

Qualifications

* 1 year of experience as a detailer/designer

OR

* Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or a comparable discipline * Solidworks - minimum 1 year of experience in the field (3 years preferred)

OR

* Completed classes as part of your Associate Degree

OR

* Excellent familiarity with the Solidworks platform (will only train Sheet Metal commands) * Experience with the Solidworks PDM is a plus * Working knowledge of welding and its associated documentation is a plus, as our designs must be buildable * The ability to work on your own in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment * An understanding of technical drawings

Job Responsibilities

* Create new or modify existing models and drawings to meet the customer's needs * Drawings must conform to Kafka guidelines * Able to use Solidworks and the Solidworks PDM * Work with fabricators, welders, machinists, and the sales and purchasing teams
