Must have skills:
5+ years of experience designing for content and information leveraging expertise in information architecture and design (with a proven portfolio of work); interaction design and visual design, exhibiting a proficiency in user experience concepts, typography, layout, and responsive design.
Demonstrable articulation of product strategy and vision and all the thinkings - design/strategic/system.
Strong understanding and application of user-centered design methods and principles.
Mastery of Figma (components, variants, prototyping, branching, etc.); experience with other software is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities: Evaluating existing applications and evaluating their UX (user experience) effectiveness Measuring the human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design Using online tools, such as screen readers to determine effectiveness of media Conducting user testing of applications, software and websites Creating and implementing interaction models, user flows, and user interface specifications Communicating scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs with other members of the team Developing and maintaining design wireframes and specifications of best practices to share with design team as new projects begin.
Qualifications: Technical Degree or related work experience Portfolio of sample projects highlighting design for web based applications, mobile applications & consumer facing web sites and/or applications Excellent IT and programming skills Understanding of current web technologies and principles such as: responsive design, front-end markup and libraries such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Ajax methods Understanding of Content Management Systems, Web Services and APIs.
