Access Books Bay Area is seeking a dedicated and creative Social Media Marketing Volunteer to join our nonprofit organization. We are committed to promoting literacy and supporting young readers in Bay Area public schools. As a Social Media Marketing Volunteer, you will work with the Access Books Bay Area marketing team to play a crucial role in raising awareness, engaging our online community, and sharing the impact of our programs through compelling social media content.Job responsibilitiesPlan, design, and execute social media campaigns for events and fundraisersPerform social media marketing research to develop new strategies for increasing engagementDesign posts and craft copy that speak to the organization’s target audienceUpdate and maintain social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedInAssist with photo/video content shoots and editingEnsure brand message is consistentSupport Marketing & Communications Team as neededSkills & QualificationsIntellectual curiosity, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive attitudeStrong grasp and interest in visual designStrong communication and writing skills (able to adapt voice and content)A creative and innovative approach to communications and brandingSelf-motivated and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlinesFirm grasp and knowledge of managing social media accounts and staying up-to-date with social media trends and new applicationsProficient with CanvaComputer literate and proficient with Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Spreadsheets) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)Passion for improving access to school libraries and quality books for all studentsPreferred QualificationsCurrently a high school junior or senior with an interest in design, a college student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a design-related major, or a recent graduate with a design-related degreePrior experience creating social media content for a business or organizationTime CommitmentThe social media volunteer position is flexible and can be tailored to fit your schedule.
