Job Description

Position Summary:

Coordinate all photographic/digital imaging documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Aid physicians in documenting autopsies through imaging and other photographic media.Manage all imaging needs: such as importing autopsy and radiographic images into imaging database, preparing hard copy documentation of images (CDs, contact sheets or others), inspect and duplicate CDs, slides and photographs for court.Ensure the preservation of digital and photographic documentation.Assist physicians and other staff with court and educational presentations using images.Order and maintain supplies and equipment pertaining to photography, diagnostic imaging and audio-visual. Recommend upgrades to equipment as needed.Obtain continuing education and training as available and as directed in order to maintain high standards and learn and implement new techniques and methods.Responsible for training staff in digital imaging and photography techniques.Provide court testimony as needed.Miscellaneous other duties as required.Requirements

Education/Experience Required:

Associate degree in Forensic Photography (emphasis: digital imaging and audiovisual), or have attended a school of photographic studies with emphasis in crime scene, legal photographic documentation, digital imaging processing, audio visual, and multimedia with 1 year experience.Having attended a school of photographic studies with emphasis in crime scene, legal photographic documentation, digital imaging processing, audio visual, and multimedia with 1 year experience.

Has demonstrated a proficiency in digital imaging processing/photography, audiovisual, legal photographic documentation and multimedia.
